Not to Be...

Yup, bought the new Malcolm Middleton. And it's pretty much ok. Not the best record I've ever heard, but it's cool enough. Go for songs as Shadows, Box & Knife, Subset of the World and defo Not to Be, if you don't feel like buying an entire album. And generally it's sort of too well produced to my liking, but what the hell do I know? Here's an old video:

And whatever you do. Don't ever read Nelson DeMille's novel Spencerville! I just did and I can truly say that it's quite possibly the worst I've ever read.

Quiet...

Yeah, a quiet weekend, it was. Company thing Friday, a few beers with Jpg-manja afterwards. And Saturday a small party at Jeff's, where people had drinks and played old arcade games. And I went home early as I was feeling tired. Jeff played his usual splendid music, so now I'm listening to Love's "Gather round", which is absolutely smashing!
Oh, and the new Yo La Tengo sounds smashing, too!

The Boombox Hearts

Yay! We've got a name for the new band. And the recordings went splendid!

Watch this space tomorrow :-).

And boozing, dancing, work, other stuff and more other stuff, so now I'm knackered. And listening to blues cd from Uncut.

I'm sorry...

Or actually, no. Just tired. But you know how you sometimes forget that you like a band? Well, I just remembered that I'd forgotten that I really like R.E.M. (and that was mostly due to the fact that my son's been going on and on about how he has all R.E.M. albums, which he hasn't :-)). Anywho, here's a video:

And hehe, you know what? I just bought a digital drum kit, so I can keep in shape, now that I don't have time for football (one sweaty hour of practise every day ought to do the trick :-)).

For my holiday in Jutland. Back in Cph already, as my aunt's car broke down in England, so she couldn't get back home in time for a visit. But at least I managed to spend 7 hours getting from Langeland to Skærbæk and attend a party with family, the mandatory organ dude and the equally mandatory marching waitresses. Kinda fun, though, even if it sounds like something out of a 50ies movie.

On the road...

I'm going to Langeland tomorrow. And then the South of Jutland. Oh yeah. Splendid, splendid, won't be doing anything. At all! And haven't done anything at all the last week either. Holidays. Oh yeah!
AND: Yo La Tengo will play Den Grå Hal in November! The World is a wonderful place, ain't it.
