Rette mich...
I'm exhausted. Friday: Release, weird art stuff, Dunkel, in bed 7.30. Saturday: Up 11.30, brunch, recording, dinner at my place. Sunday: Brunch with a friend in Valby. And listening to this:

Hehe, Sankofa's made a Palin "lovesong" (thanks to imageyenation):
Sankofa-Snow Princess from John Hartman on Vimeo.
And I'm preparing for the next 7 days which will be busy as hell with dancing, dinners and loooooads of recording (behind schedule, dammit).

Guess there's no one
Oh, I'm not ill. Now I'm just tired. But spent the weekend in a rather nice fashion. Been making Tempura for instance, so my house now smells like it's been deep fried. And reading two crime novels. And unfortunately missing the Bonnie and Clyde concert Friday. But hey, at least I've got the video:

Up to your neck
Naturally, I'm still ill. And tired of reading, so started finding new stuff on da net. Here's a load of remixes from Diefenbach. I really, really, really dig the Good Luck Casper one (it's very cut-up in a very cool way, if that makes any sense). Diefenbach is also hosting a release party at Gefährlich next week, which I plan to go to, if I have the time.
And Laid Back's releasing a compilation. And that calls for sentimental value, since it's one of the bands that I grew up with in the 80ies. And it was the first concert I saw on my own (Kridthuset in Åbenrå in 1990 or 1991, I think). I got the autographs too :-). And "Baker Man" is one the best videos ever made:

Rats...
I'm still ill. And there ain't nothing helping. Luckily there's a theme night about the Danish national football team on DR2. Right now they're showing the 0-1 on Wembley which is the first Danish game I actually remember seing. And some indie guy must be among the producers, they've already used a beat from Yo La Tengo and this one from My Bloody Valentine:

On the other hand...
When you're ill, you've got the time to read newspapers :-). And this article by Francis Fukuyama (the dude with "The End of History"-thesis). As a historian I don't really agree with what he's said before, but he's got some valid points this time, so go read, please (apart from the fact that he claims that less educated people with a working class background in Europe always will vote for Left Wing parties. I think that Pia Kjærsgaard would be in for a laugh on that one :-). Anyway, an end to Reaganism and Thatcherism would be wonderful, so here's a toast to screwing corporate idiots, government idiots and most other idiots. And during the last few weeks I've been singing the chorus of this song at my job, just for fun (and ever so slightly as a provocation :-)):
"Au contraire, as the man said in the Bay of Biscay when they asked if he'd dined"
I'm ill. Sort of knew yesterday, but now it's for goddamn sure, sneezing and coughing and all that. Crap crap crappety crap. So spent the day sleeping, reading Wimsey (the citation's from there) and listening to the new The Walkmen album "You & Me". And it's a good one (so said most of the reviews too)! The drum and guitar playing are just immensely cool, and the album is experimental without being arty farty.
Yikes, I feel bad. More sleep. Now.

The erratic behaviour of a drunken man (part two)...
Or perhaps just tired. Rust on Thursday equalled beers and lousy music. But I spoke 3 words of French to a French girl, so ....(and this song is cool in so many ways):
Yesterday we recorded. And went to bars. And more bars. And slept in the bus. Or I did. Woke up in Husom. Took a cab back. "Well maybe I am, maybe I am":
I need sleep. A new job. A new life. A new girl. More A's. Even more.

Oh, and...
Forgot to mention that P3 played this yesteday:
Which reminded me of the many nights with my high school band Den Blå Agurk, where we played whist and got drunk. And CJ and Rasmus always put The Ramones on (and I put 17 minutes long experimental Pink Floyd songs on, just to piss them off ;-)).

Tomorrow...
I'll be going bowling?! And afterwards to Rust with Mikkel. And Coast Is Clear has simple and beautiful music from Carrie. And hehe, my son came home today singing this one (apart from singing choir stuff at his school, they apparently do more "jazzy" (his words, not mine) things too :-)):

Malmö and Kino....
Pictures from Malmö :-):

Me:
And since I've started these Russian lessons, I thought I might as well get to know some Russian music too. So here's Kino, a new wave/punk/pop band from the Soviet era (and this one's actually kinda cool):

Did she say that?
Introducing Sarah Palin (from the N.Y. Times):
“Say it ain’t so, Joe! There you go pointing backwards again ... Now, doggone it, let’s look ahead and tell Americans what we have to plan to do for them in the future. You mentioned education, and I’m glad you did. I know education you are passionate about with your wife being a teacher for 30 years, and God bless her. Her reward is in heaven, right?”
What the hell is that? "Now, doggone it"? "Her reward is in heaven, right?"? Fuck, I'm glad I'm not an American if that looney couple get elected! I'd even prefer screwball Reagan:
The World sucks ass:

My baby's scared of the dark....
Bought the new Herman Dune, and it's wonderful as always. It's called "Next Year In Zion" and y'all should go buy.
Now!
And B.T. has a review!? And he likes it!? Did Hell just freeze over!? And enough with the exclamation marks, here's a beautiful video:
